Curbside Inspection Program

The Village of Newburgh Heights Housing and Building Department (the ‘Department’) continues to conduct the Curbside Inspection Program to ensure our housing stock is maintained in its best condition for the benefit of the entire village.

In 2022, we conducted inspections on even-numbered owner-occupied structures.  We want to thank all the homeowners that worked with us to make repairs, big and small, and we’d like to congratulate owners that achieved an excellent rating!

This year, 2023, the Housing and Building Department will be out conducting curbside inspections on the odd-numbered owner-occupied properties throughout the village.

If you are still working on completing violations from your Curbside Inspection please contact us if you would like to apply for a Home Maintenance Grant or would like to be given additional resources to help with repairs.

If you have information regarding an issue or eyesore property please contact the Housing and Building Department through the website, or call us Monday-Thursday, 9am-3:30pm.

As a reminder, The Curbside Inspection Program supports the Housing and Building Department goals to minimize and correct exterior building code violations to provide lasting benefits for the Village of Newburgh Heights, such as:

  • Maintaining the exterior of residential structures to stabilize and increase property values in Newburgh Heights,
  • Creating and maintaining a healthy housing stock for future generations and attract new development, and,
  • Bringing the exterior of housing structures into compliance with applicable building codes and/or enabling homeowners to avoid building code violations.
