Civilian Fingerprinting and National Webchecks

The Newburgh Heights Police Department offers civilian fingerprinting for BCI and FBI background checks. We are a Web Check location and can submit fingerprints electronically. We do not perform ink/rolled prints onto fingerprint cards.

Our hours for fingerprinting are Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12:00 noon until 3:00 p.m., less holidays. We will also accept appointments for civilian fingerprinting by calling 216-641-2117 or via email at police@newburgh-oh.gov

Costs:

BCI only – $35.00
FBI only – $40.00
Both – $70.00

We only accept cash or money orders for civilian fingerprints. We do not accept credit or debit cards.

Applicants for fingerprints must have valid identification.

All fingerprinting is done for the public will be done in accordance with all applicable laws, ordinances, rules, and guidelines as outlined by the Ohio Attorney General’s Office

Forms:

All applications for fingerprints shall complete the required form prior to being fingerprinted. It is the sole responsibility of the applicant to ensure the form is filled out properly and the fingerprints are sent to the correct destination.

It is the responsibility of the applicant to notify us of the proper codes.

Please note, FBI transactions done in Ohio can only be done for individuals working in Ohio or for licensure in Ohio.

Fingerprinting a Minor.

A minor may be fingerprinted as outline above provided that they have a parent or legal guardian present with them at the time of fingerprinting. The attending parent or legal guardian must sign the BCI provided waiver form prior to taking the fingerprints. This waiver must remain on file for 1 year.

Record Retention WebCheck:

Records and documentation will be maintained at the workstation site as specified by BCI for the term of 1 year. This will include the Application and Information Sheets and Minor Parent Guardian Waivers.

Liability

The Village of Newburgh Heights is not responsible for any inaccurate information or omissions that are presented to the WebCheck operator which may result in delayed or inaccurate results. The Village of Newburgh Heights is not responsible for background check information disseminated by other agencies. Any person presenting fraudulent information provided to the Village of Newburgh Heights will be subject to prosecution.
